well, work isn't going too well in florida this week, but at least the hotel is a cool place. i love how they play rock music everywhere in the hotel, and they quote lyrics for every sort of normal hotel function. the turn-down service includes a 6" chocolate guitar and a card with lyrics like "the cradle will rock" (van halen) and "sweet dreams" (eurythmics). "hello, i love you, won't you tell me your name" (the doors) is written on the marble wall behind the front desk. the do-not-disturb sign says "don't go away mad, just go away" (motley crue).
i wandered around the casino monday night and saw lots of autographed guitars, costumes from elton john and KISS, original concert flyer artwork, and several gold records given to the hotel by different artists (green day, nirvana, prodigy, and others). i really wish that m and i were here on vacation instead of me being here for work so we could really enjoy all the fun that the hotel has to offer. maybe he can come back with me next week and we'll stay here over the weekend, sort of a mini-vacation.
