this weekend m and i flew up to massachusetts to attend the annual George Family Christmas Party. m's mom's family is huge, and they rent a hall every year to celebrate the season together. this was my first trip, and i had a really good time. besides getting to see m's brother and his fiancee who moved away in august, i got to meet more of his family including his cousin (who is a fellow blogger). i found her site a few weeks ago. and thanks to her, i can share some lovely memories of the party with you.
ah yes, no christmas would be complete without santa and elvis. the part of santa was played by m's youngest brother's friend who thought he was just getting a free road trip through the northeast. he did a great job, and the kids were happy with their gifts. we received some as well, including the new trivial pursuit dvd edition from m's aunt carol. board games are always a plus since we enjoy playing them a lot with our families.
we flew home last night through a massive snow storm. it took about 2 hours to drive 30 miles to the airport, then we were delayed by about 3 hours. i'm just thankful that we made it home and didn't have to spend the night in logan.
can't wait to go back next year!
