i decided last week to look into lasik surgery to improve my vision. i have worn glasses for over 20 years and contacts for almost 15 years, and i'm just tired of having to deal with them. a few years ago, i would never have considered lasik because i didn't feel the science was advanced enough yet. and there were too many reports of the negative side effects that can be caused by lasik. the technology has definitely improved, and i found a local doctor that uses the custom cornea. i've registered for a seminar in december, and then i guess i'll sign up for an evaluation. then i can start saving to pay for the surgery. it will be strange to be able to see when i open my eyes after sleeping, but i'm very excited about that possibility.
