npr had a great report this morning on a priceless collection of early country and bluegrass recordings. i am not a fan of modern country music by any means, but i can't help but appreciate it's early history (thank to my own mountain roots. and i am even more excited about seeing someone who was just really passionate about a "hobby" now reaping some benefits from his collection.
and speaking of music collections, we assembled our new cd cabinet yesterday. it looks great, and still has some room (not much) for new cds. of course, my next (planned) cd purchase is the new radiohead album, which comes out next week. methinks that i will have to head to the record store on my lunch break that day. the tracks that i've heard so far are just plain yummy!
