now for the weekend update. it was an okay weekend. father's day lunch was great, although i was kinda sick yesterday. m had a stomach bug last week, and i was a little worried yesterday that i was coming down with it. that's the worst kind of illness too.
we spent most of saturday cleaning and organizing the basement and kitchen. we put away a lot of our wedding gifts, and it's really nice to be able to use them. i'm loving it, because i'm a kitchen gadget nut. cooking dinner is a dream when you have all of the right tools.
one of the highlights of the weekend was a trip to the bookstore. i picked up irvine welsh's new novel, a sequel to trainspotting. hopefully i'll get to start it soon. i also bought a thai cookbook and a travel guide for nyc (m and i will be going there in september). i also browsed through the hipster handbook which was mildly amusing even though it only gave my alma mater a hipster rating of c+. anyone who has ever walked through shafer court knows that vcu art students are all about style.
my afternoon of meetings is about to begin. more stuff later.
