i don't know what possessed me the other day, but when m and i went to barnes & noble on friday, i made a bold purchase. i decided to take on a piece of japanese literature, which may be one of the most challenging books that i've read so far (for fun). recently, i zipped through this book, and i think that rekindled my interest in japanese culture. i've just made it through the introduction of genji, but i hope to make quick progress.
