a sigh of relief . . .
. . . i've been a little more stressed than usual the past few days. not from blatant stress, but just one of those things that resides in the back of your mind and pops up every few hours to say, "Hello, how are you going to deal with this?" i decided the other day that it was time to get screened for HIV. not for any particular reason, just because i know it's a good idea to do so. it's just one of those things that you know you should do these days, no matter how careful you are. and you can assure yourself that you're fine all you want, but you still think about the "what ifs". it can be a little taxing.
but everything's fine, just like i thought. yeah, it's a few days of being uncomfortable, but it's so worth it in the long run. so please, if you're sexually active, take the test. take care of your body. be responsible, be informed.
