i postponed my dinner until sunday, but it was for the best. i got to hang out with some friends that i haven't spent a lot of time with in a while and get a taste of the new group dynamic. our social circle has had a recent influx of people from another location. the funny thing is, i knew most of these people many years ago. so now they're here. we're all older and wiser, and it's really nice having them around. tomorrow (or later today as the case may be) we're having another rousing game of kickball. thank goodness for the simple pleasures in life.
