well, we're on our seventh day without power at home. dominion says you can get a status report by calling them, but i can't ever get any more info than "strong storms caused widespread outages" which means that a work order has not been sent out for our house yet. thank goodness that my parents have been such good hosts to us and the dogs. we took them to dinner last night at the new maggiano's. what a meal!! mike has been so excited about the restaurant opening here (i figured it was the only way i'd ever get him near the new mall), and now i understand why. if there is one in your area, make sure to eat there sometime.
it's been nice to have a/c and to be able to blowdry my hair in the morning, but m and i are both ready to go home and sleep in our own bed again. hopefully our power will come back on soon.
