my car stereo selections are a prime example of my ever-expanding musical tastes. from sunday until this morning, i was listening to talib kweli's quality. this is one of the few hip hop albums i've owned, but i find these days that i am liking more of that genre than i used to. this morning, i drove to work while listening to the o brother where art thou soundtrack (which arrived in the mail from amazon yesterday). i don't think that i could have picked any CDs that were more polar opposites than these if i tried. i think my wallet is pretty safe though - i don't expect these two genres to comprise a large part of my music collection. still, it's really nice to try something different every so often.
