another movie post . . . rented titus last night. it looks incredibly interesting and intense. of course, i fell asleep (thanks to the long day with the family). will try to watch it again tonight.
the graduation reception was an event. i don't know what to say about it. maybe that it was an ordeal? my family really cares about this whole thing, my mom cried, and they wanted a lot of pictures of me. i don't really care about remembering the day. i have to come back in may anyway to do the formal cap-and-gown thing. between my sister's incessant complaining, the university president's pleas for alumni contributions, and the rancid crab dip, i almost wished i had dropped out. what has the point of all of this been? years of hard work just to get an entry-level job that pays less than i make now?
i think i just worked myself into a funk. time to leave the library.
